As an international award winning infrared photographer, Japanese Garden Designer and Nishikigoi importer, MaryEllen Malinowksi, "M" has been connected to an ever higher calling. After working with Japanese Koi for five years, The Koi Whisperer began in 2010, after M rescued her first koi from a garbage bag. Ever since that first rescue, through all seasons... M diligently continues her mission.

At The Koi Whisperer Sanctuary, we inspire koi keeping of both domestic and imported koi. Our mission is to Rescue Koi, Heal, Place in Adoptive Homes and Educate on Holistic Koi Care for these Living Jewels. The Kids for Koi program and The Koi Whisperer's International Koi Keepers, are international programs to educate others who want to make a difference for the koi and have been developed because of M working from her heart and with passion. Bridging the soul of nature, water, light and tranquility, The Koi Whisperer Sanctuary is a reflection of the beautiful Japanese Gardens, Koi Ponds and Tea House found here on the Fox River.
